Franyell Silfa
Short Biography
I am a researcher in the ARCO (ARchitectures and COmpilers) research group in the Computer Architecture Department, UPC BarcelonaTech. I received a BS and ME in Computer Engineering from the USU and Ph.D. in Computer Architecture from the UPC. My thesis was done under the supervision of Dr. Jose Maria Arnau and Prof. Antonio González.
My research focuses on energy-efficient hardware architectures for cognitive computing. I work on novel techniques to improve the energy efficiency of Domain Specific Accelerators and CPUs (edge and High-performance) for deep learning applications.
